General Information
International Relations Office of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University has been established in Feb., 2002 as attached to the Rectorate. Academicians from various faculties and departments work with the Coordination Office which proceeds the associations with EUA, Blacksea Universities Net (BSUN), European Fine Arts Schools Association (ELIA), European Conservatories Association (AEC), European Union Educational Programs and with other thematic educational units. Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University has signed agreements with numerous international universities. In addition to the Erasmus agreements signed with universities in Europe, collaboration protocols have been signed with major universities throughout the world.
The Erasmus Program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University is managed by the International Office at the institutional level. International Office is responsible for the announcements, applications, selection of students, mobility grants and also application of incoming students etc. Also every department has an Erasmus coordinator, responsible for academic advising. Erasmus Application
Exchange students are accepted in accordance with the clauses clarified in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Graduate Education Regulations, in Master degree education regulations and State Conservatory Regulations. Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University accepts students from institutions which are included within the Bilateral Protocols and Erasmus Bilateral Agreements. Exchange students who wish to attend courses in our university are accepted on condition that they are eligible as a 'Erasmus incoming student' as defined in the statute of MSGSÜ International Relations Office. The university accepts every year the number of students for the specified periods from universities covered within the Erasmus Bilateral Agreement. Erasmus exchange students to attend our university are to fill in the 'MSGSÜ Incoming Student Application Form' (click to download/Applicationform Incomingstudent linki) and to hand in their transcripts, CV, and their portfolios showing their academic studies and the official letter obtained from related office to the International Relations Office (ULIK). All Application forms are to be in hardcopy or CD/DVD copies. Only the applications made through mail are taken into consideration. Deadlines for applications are announced every year by ULIK and published in the web page of the university. Applications are evaluated by International Relations Office after the consent of the related department. In case of acceptance, the acceptance letter is sent to the related department of the university. Exchange students make their course elections with help of their own in the beginning of every semester. They are given their Transcripts and Participation Certificates at the end of their education period. Exchange students carry equal rights as all the registered students in getting their university identity cards, library cards and such further documents from MSGSÜ. But no fees are demanded from Erasmus Exchange students. Application forms for cheap discounted travelling tickets can be obtained from International Relations Office.
Exchange students should apply to the Turkish Consulates in their native countries with their Acceptance Letters to get the Student Visa. They are obliged to acquire the Residence Permit from the official office in Turkey in not later than one (1) month. International Relations Office will be assisting the students in acquiring their related permits. Exchange students should make their travel insurance covering the education period. Our university clinic covers outpatient treatments only.
