The undergraduate programme at the Department of Sociology, founded in 1984-1985, is a four-year academic programame which consists of the following four majors: General Sociology, Institutional Sociology, Applied Sociology and Sociometrics. Since the academic staffs in the department have different academic formations, the lectures reflect an interdisciplinary perspective and various scientific approaches such as political science, cultural studies, visual studies, gender studies, economics, history, philosophy, law, and arts.
The Department of Sociology has also a Masters and a Ph.d programme under the Social Science Institute (General Sociology and Methodology).
