The department was founded in 1958 as "Theatre Décor and Costume Studio" under the structure of İstanbul State Fine Arts Academy. In 1996-1997, it was restructured as Scene Décor Art Branch, Scene Costume Branch, Puppet and Shadow Play Art Branch. Our graduates work as stage, costume designers and art directors in theatres, cinema-TV, advertisement sector, festival, ceremony and environment arrangement activities.
